Partners

The Special Districts Association of Riverside County (SDARC) works in partnership with several key organizations, agencies, and entities to advocate for special districts, provide resources, and address common challenges faced by local special districts. While the exact list of partners may change over time, SDARC typically collaborates with the following types of organizations:

California Special Districts Association (CSDA)

  • The CSDA is the statewide organization that represents special districts across California. SDARC is an affiliated chapter of CSDA, and the partnership allows SDARC members to access CSDA’s resources, educational programs, and legislative advocacy efforts.

Riverside County Government

  •  SDARC works closely with Riverside County's local government entities, including the Board of Supervisors and county departments, to address regional issues and policies that affect special districts in the area.

Local Government Agencies

  • SDARC partners with various local government agencies, such as cities, counties, and public agencies, to ensure that the interests of special districts are represented and to collaborate on projects of mutual concern.

Riverside County Economic Development Agency

  •  This partnership helps foster economic growth in the county, benefiting special districts by supporting infrastructure projects, improving public services, and facilitating collaboration between local entities.

California Department of Water Resources (DWR)

  • For water-related districts, SDARC may partner with the DWR to address issues surrounding water conservation, management, and infrastructure development within Riverside County.

 Public Policy and Legislative Partners

  •  SDARC collaborates with state and federal policymakers, lawmakers, and government entities to advocate for legislation that supports the needs of special districts. This includes working with other regional and statewide special district organizations on policy initiatives.

 Educational and Training Providers

  • SDARC partners with organizations that offer professional development and training for district leaders and staff. These may include local universities, consultancy groups, or professional associations offering specialized knowledge on governance, finance, and management.

Consultants and Service Providers

  • Various consultants and service providers support SDARC and its members in areas such as legal services, insurance, risk management, and other administrative functions. These partnerships help special districts operate efficiently.

Community-Based Organizations

  • SDARC may also collaborate with local community organizations that provide services or advocate for residents' needs, particularly in areas like parks, recreation, and public health.
